Tell us what is going on and where: which wall, chimney, steps or retaining wall, and roughly how big the problem area is. Mention what you have noticed, such as mortar falling out of the joints, bricks flaking or loose, water stains inside near a chimney, a crack that keeps getting wider, or a wall that leans. Let us know if the house is in Old Louisville, the Highlands, Butchertown, Clifton or another older neighborhood, and roughly when it was built. Two or three phone photos, one close up and one from across the yard, help us come prepared. We call back to set a time to look at it in person, at no charge.
